About Sarah Porter
Sarah Porter is a British technology entrepreneur, healthcare innovator and international speaker whose work focuses on artificial intelligence, healthcare, emerging technologies and international collaboration.
She is the Founder and CEO of InspiredMinds, a global artificial intelligence and emerging technology community that connects researchers, scientists, policymakers, healthcare leaders and industry experts working across the applied AI ecosystem. Through InspiredMinds, Sarah has built an international network bringing together experts from artificial intelligence, healthcare, scientific research, public policy and industry to explore the responsible development and real-world application of emerging technologies.
Sarah is also the founder of World Summit AI, an international conference series that brings together technology companies, researchers, governments, investors and policymakers to explore the opportunities and challenges created by artificial intelligence. First launched in Amsterdam, the summit has become a recognised fixture on the international technology calendar, attracting participants from across industry, academia and government.
Alongside InspiredMinds and World Summit AI, Sarah founded Intelligent Health, one of Europe’s largest artificial intelligence in medicine communities. Over more than six years, the organisation brought together over 30,000 clinicians, researchers, pharmaceutical leaders, NGOs and hospital trusts from around the world to explore how AI could improve healthcare, medical research and patient outcomes. Through programmes including Intelligent Health London and partnerships with organisations such as NHSX and the Novartis Foundation, the initiative helped accelerate discussions around the future of healthcare and clinical innovation.
Sarah has spoken publicly on artificial intelligence, healthcare innovation and emerging technologies, including delivering a public lecture at Canterbury Christ Church University and appearing on national broadcast media to discuss developments in artificial intelligence.
In 2024, the InspiredMinds ecosystem and its associated summit portfolio were acquired by Growth Catalyst Partners, reflecting the scale and international reach of the community built around the platform.

Technology initiatives and global impact
Alongside InspiredMinds, World Summit AI and Intelligent Health, Sarah has been involved in a number of initiatives focused on the responsible development and application of artificial intelligence.
Her work has included participation in international discussions on artificial intelligence governance and safety. Sarah contributed to meetings connected to the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs relating to the development and regulation of lethal autonomous weapons systems and the responsible use of artificial intelligence in warfare.
The InspiredMinds community has also engaged with the United States Department of Homeland Security on its “Roles and Responsibilities for Artificial Intelligence in Critical Infrastructure” framework, helping bring together feedback from researchers, technologists and industry experts as part of the consultation process.
Sarah has been a long-standing advocate for improving representation for women in science and technology and has spoken publicly about the importance of ensuring that the development of artificial intelligence reflects a broad range of global perspectives.
In 2017, she became involved in advocacy efforts supporting members of the Afghan Girls Robotics Team, including lobbying during the U.S. travel ban which initially prevented the team from attending a robotics competition in Washington, D.C. During the fall of Kabul in 2021, Sarah coordinated efforts within her international network to assist in the evacuation of members of the Afghan Girls Robotics Team and other Afghan nationals. Reporting later indicated that more than 250 individuals were supported through these evacuation efforts.
Alongside her work in technology, Sarah has maintained a longstanding connection to healthcare and emergency response. She served as a trauma and paediatric First Person on Scene responder, supporting the West Midlands Ambulance Service and responding to serious emergency incidents. This experience provided first-hand exposure to healthcare delivery and continues to influence her interest in health innovation, medicine and patient outcomes. Earlier in her career, she also worked within the health and fitness sector, writing health-focused articles for the Daily Express and appearing on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire as a health adviser.
Sarah continues to advocate for wider access to technology education, healthcare innovation and global participation in the development of artificial intelligence. Her contributions to the technology sector have been recognised by industry publications including Computer Weekly, which named her among the United Kingdom’s Most Influential Women in Technology in both 2022 and 2024.
